These trips include 4 nights at Wintergreen Lodge OR 4 nights at Timber Trail Lodge's beautiful Diamond Willow retreat. Each pair of guests has their own private bedroom (with single or double beds as desired, or adjoining single bedrooms) and a full bathroom. At Wintergreen, the double bedrooms feature the larger of our 6 rooms, all with lakeshore views. At Timber Trail's Diamond Willow retreat, guests can choose among 4 larger and 2 smaller bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms.

Dinners and first-day luncheons are generally prepared and served at Wintergreen (and catered for dinners at Timber Trail). We know exactly what our guests want after an invigorating day of dogsledding -- an interesting, tasteful meal with fresh top-quality ingredients. We call it "comfort food with class." Guests are welcome to bring their own wine or other adult beverages. We're happy to accommodate any dietary preferences or restrictions.

Guest Profile

Last year, nearly half of our these trips were booked by pairs of couples or family groups as their own private, custom dogsled vacations. On the other trips, 80% of the guests came as couples (ave. age 42), 20% as pairs of friends. While mealtimes are social, these trips offer couples time to themselves mornings/evenings as they choose in their private suites or cabins.
